Flores’s oil painting titled “Primeras Letras (Learning to Read),” written by Pristine de Leon with a
reflection by work-from-home intern Sean Carballo on Flores's work in the context of interior spaces,
specifically inhabited by women, then and now. De Leon writes on Flores’s painting, which is part of
